Crop Pest Surveillance System (CROPSS) is a Web and Mobile based, ICT enabled pest surveillance Information System initiated by Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Kerala. The system has been conceptualized, designed, developed and implemented by Digital University for the Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Kerala.

The data collection methodology for these pests and diseases vary widely based on the peculiarities of the crop and the pest/disease selected. For each crop, there will be two fixed plots of uniform size in each panchayath for sampling and recording observations
The location specific data on pest surveillance will be captured and stored in centralized database for easy access and retrieval. This time series data is being used for preparing the prediction and advisory services.
