Symptoms

• They feed on the husk portion of nuts and collar region of seedlings & results in wilting of central shoot.
• Mat of soil/nest of termites observed on infested portion.

Control Measures

• Irrigate the plant during summer months so as to maintain adequate soil moisture.
• Drench the nursery with Chlorpyriphos 20EC 2ml/L twice at 30 days interval during summer months.
• Alternatively, apply 100 g of Lindane 5% dust at the plant basin.
• Swab the damaged trunks with Chlorpyriphos at the above concentration, if necessary.
